Overview
Private messages enable you to communicate different content to individual recipients within a single envelope. This feature proves valuable when distributing documents across multiple teams or departments that require personalised instructions or context. When activated for a recipient, the private message overrides the standard envelope message exclusively for that person, while all other recipients continue receiving the default message.
Adding a private message
During envelope creation, navigate to Step 4: Review envelope.
Select Add private messages next to the Message to recipients label.
In the dialog box, choose the Recipient from the dropdown menu who will receive the personalised message.
Optionally select a pre-written message from the Use a message template dropdown to populate the content field.
Enter your customised message in the Private message field.
Click Confirm.
You may add private messages for multiple recipients by repeating these steps. A notification banner appears in the review section indicating that private messages are configured and will supersede the primary message for specified recipients.
